Mrs. U.S. Virgin Islands Globe, Tracie Stafford

Tracie Stafford, wife, mother, entrepreneur and advocate has been crowned Mrs. U.S. Virgin Islands Globe and will compete against over 60 country representatives for the International title of Mrs. Globe in Shenzhen, China November 26, 2015 – December 6, 2015.

“I am beyond honored to have been chosen to represent the U.S. Virgin Islands in China,” Tracie began, “and am humbled to share my story and advocacy with the women and children of this beautiful territory.”

Stafford first broke her lifelong silence disclosing the abuse that she had suffered as a third generation domestic violence survivor before the California State Legislature in 2008.

“Many women who have experienced physical, psychological or emotional abuse never fully recover,” Stafford began. “‘Survivor’ was only the beginning of my journey. It has taken years, an abundance of courage and a great deal of support to uncover the woman that I am today.”

An accomplished business leader, Stafford has served boards including The National Association of Women Business Owners and The Sacramento Small Business Board, The Birthing Project International, and was appointed by Governor Schwarzenegger to the California Small Business Board. Today she is the spokeswoman for Purple Light Nights International and speaks for organizations such as the U.S. Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women, The National Institute on the Prosecution of Domestic Violence and City Departments, Correctional Facilities, Social Change Groups.
